Found nestled in the Central Highlands, the Aberfeldy is a picturesque distillery. For many decades, this distillery’s spirit was ringfenced for the Dewar’s family of blends –such was its importance and quality. These days we are all able to enjoy Aberfeldy as a single malt, with this bottling aged for no less than 21 years in former Bourbon barrels, perfectly showcasing this malt’s signature sweetness.

Originally introduced in the mid-noughties, this whisky has stood the test of time (unlike many other mid-noughties products, thankfully) to become one of Aberfeldy's signature offerings.
A perfect illustration of the distillery's signature waxy, sweet spirit, 21 years in a combination of former Sherry and ex-Bourbon barrels has added richness and depth to this dram.
A central part of the historic Dewar's blends, Aberfeldy has asserted itself as a single malt worth seeking out, particularly at great ages.

Tasting notes
Nose
Bright, sweet malted barley aromas open this nose, later joined by Manuka honey, heather, fresh lemon zest, tangerine segments and coconut flakes.
Taste
The same crystalline sweetness of the nose, but backed up by a thick mouthfeel, vanilla custard, polished oak, clove-studded orange and cedar. A hint of peat adds depth.
Finish
Medium length, softly tapering out with persistent notes of dark chocolate, old oak, tinned peaches, leather, heather honey and plentiful toasted malt.
