Balcones Distilling, the first Texas whiskey since Prohibition, began in a former welding shop under a bridge in Waco. Today, more than a decade later, Balcones is known worldwide for making authentic Texan spirits from grain to glass. In 2014, Balcones Distilling moved into a new home, the old Texas Fire Proof Storage Co in downtown Waco. Master Distiller Jared Himstedt leads a team of Texas distilling pioneers who challenge tradition and bring the original spirit of Texas into the world.

Bright and juicy tropical fruits, featuring ripe mangos and papaya. Traditional malt and barrel characteristics soon follow with toasted coconut, salted caramel and pencil shavings.
Viscous, oily, and rich peanut butter on toasted sourdough bread. The tropical fruits quickly return in the form of guava and sweet, overripe pineapple. Sandalwood and baking spices round out the palate.
Oak tannins dry out this medium-long finish with a sprinkling of toasted nuts and peppery spice.
