This elegant, smooth and fruity expression from Kirin was created at their Fuji Gotemba distillery using three different still types – a pot still, a continuous column still and a doubler that is generally used for bourbon and sake making.

This has brought three unique styles of spirit to the release as they blend seamlessly to create a unique and complex expression. An impressive replacement for Kirin's Sanroku 50 that was discontinued in 2019.

Tasting notes
Nose
Once you get past the alcohol, there's crisp and woody vanilla. Heavy on the grain, specifically corn and rye.
Taste
Sweet and mellow, with hints of caramel, vanilla, and sugar-coated orange slices. The 50% abv could be too much for some people though.
Finish
Slightly bitter, and overall a great oaky closure. Some citrus wraps things up.
