The Kujira Ryukyu 20 year old has spent its entire two decades of existence aging in ex-bourbon casks in Okinawa, a beautiful southern tropical island of Japan with warm and humid weather all year round.

Tasting notes
Nose
A floral nose, with deep plums and candied mint. it’s a steady nose, without too much complexity, but otherwise quite tempting.
Taste
Reminiscent of a rye, gin & plum wine combined. Rich deep plum or prunes with vanilla bean. some hard lemon candy, and melted caramel sweetness.
Finish
The finish is heavy in sweetness, with lasting notes of licorice. An absolute stunner of a whisky.
