A timeless and iconic distillery with a longstanding heritage. The site of the Woodford Reserve Distillery is a national historic landmark, with whiskey production dating back to 1812. Woodford’s whiskey is famous for its extraordinary depth of flavour thanks to its high rye mash bill and one of the most extended fermentation times in the industry.

Every year Master Distiller Chris Morris releases a special edition of Woodford Reserve, known as the Master’s Collection. These whiskies represent the pinnacle of experimental or extraordinary drams in the Woodford Reserve bonded rickhouses.

This particular release is from back in 2017, which is long sold out in most retailers worldwide. We at Whisky Loot have our secret stash, which we are proud to share with our valued members. This 12th release in the series is highly experimental. The usual mash bill has been reimagined with 30% of the mix comprising of cherry wood smoked malt. Highly unusual in Bourbon circles, with the typical composition being between 10-15% of malted barley. The result is a well-balanced, surprisingly smooth sipper that will bring you flavours never before seen in the Bourbon world.
