The Cotswold Distillery was established in 2014 by Dan Szor in Stourton, the heart of the Cotswolds. With the guidance of industry legends, Harry Cockburn, and Dr Jim Swan, the Cotswold Distillery was able to achieve their goal of using traditional methods and high quality raw ingredients. In 2017, the Cotswolds Distillery released their first whisky, as well as the first single malt whisky distilled in the Cotswolds.
The Cotswolds Single Malt Whisky received a Gold medal at the European Single Malt awards in 2018, and the World Whiskies Awards in 2019. The single malt also picked up silver at both the European Single Malt and Whiskies Worldwide in 2019. The Cotswolds signature single malt is matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and red wine casks.
