A small batch, high rye Bourbon from the oldest working distillery in Kentucky. Indeed, this bottling is highly aware of its history – taking its title from the year when Kentucky officially became its own state. Produced in small batches, and bottled at a slightly higher proof, this is a high quality Bourbon, packed with flavour!

Styling itself as the oldest operating distillery in “Kentucky’s Capital of Bourbon”, Barton Distillery is found on a handsome estate of 196 acres, featuring its own spring.
Here the distillery produces a variety of different whiskey styles for Barton’s 1792 range – including this delightful small batch Bourbon, which has been aged in new American oak barrels.

Tasting notes
Nose
A classic Bourbon nose, with rich aromas of buttered popcorn, red apple lollies, toasted oak, cinnamon and freshly baked rye bread.
Taste
Oakier than the nose, bringing spicy flavours of black pepper, cinnamon and powdered cloves. Caramelised fruit emerges on the back of the palate, with some subtle herbal rye.
Finish
A medium length finish that offers lingering notes of marmalade, creamy oak, cinnamon and an extra helping of black pepper warmth.
