A smoky dram that is a throwback to a by-gone age. Time was when most distilleries in Scotland, including those in the Highlands, used peat to dry their malt. With the advent of coal, the practice died out, but has recently been revived. This whisky weighs in at 40ppm of peaty phenols - similar to the famously smoky Islay malts.
