Previously an independent bottler, this is the second release of Craft Works Distillery’s single malt, made from new-make spirit wholly produced by distiller Craig “Crafty” Field.
I AM… Too… displays the same award-winning DNA signature of the original release, with an added level of elegance and refinement. Here, the flavour here is driven by famed cooper Andrew Young’s “Super-Casks”, married with vintage Port and old wood PX Sherry barrels.
More Details
A relative newcomer to the Aussie whisky scene that has quickly found success in both independent bottling and whisky making alike. The Craft Works Distillery is wholly owned and operated by one man - Craig “Crafty” Field.
Interestingly, all of the new-make spirit produced by Craft Works comes from a stout-beer mash bill. This allows Crafty to produce highly complex whiskies, even at a relatively young age.
No detail is spared during the maturation period either, with some exceptionally sourced casks from the finest coopers in Australia. Crafty thrives in vatting multiple cask varieties together to create even further complexity.
Craft Works Distillery is quickly becoming one to watch in the Aussie distilling world.

Tasting notes
Nose
Rich and luscious with notes of golden raisins, sweet red grapes, caramelised figs, milk chocolate and very subtle floral flecks.
Taste
A bold balance act of the stout-based spirit and flavourful oak. Tobacco, leather, roasted malt, dark chocolate, espresso and barrel char all make an appearance.
Finish
Here, the Port and Sherry influences appear. Dark fruit sweetness is complemented by supple tannins and oaky spice, eventually drying out this medium-long finish.
