The Dunedin Double Cask Single Malt is a remarkable offering from The New Zealand Whisky Collection that embodies the expertise and essence of New Zealand's South Island. Crafted using 100% malted barley grown in New Zealand and distilled in two traditional copper pot stills, this whisky is a true representation of the region's commitment to excellence. It undergoes a dual maturation process, beginning in American oak ex-bourbon casks, which impart delightful hints of sweet vanilla and caramel, before being aged in French oak ex-New Zealand red wine casks, which contribute complexity with deep tannins and luscious dark fruit notes. This whisky matures in the unique coastal climate of Oamaru, where the influence of the seaside bondstore adds to its character, enhancing its depth and subtle maritime qualities.
