A fascinating gin produced by Hobart’s Lark distillery – of single malt whisky fame. This delightful bottling brings together sweet Tassie bush honey, Rooisbos (red bush) tea and a range of gin botanicals – including some native to Tasmania. The result is a uniquely delicious gin, with a sweeter profile than most.

Named after the Forty Spotted Pardalote, an extremely rare bird native to a small corner of South Eastern Tasmania, Forty Spotted is a fitting counterpoint to the Lark whisky range.
Each Forty Spotted release can be presented either way up, celebrating Lark’s location at “the Bottom of the World” in Tasmania. The embossed lines on the bottle reflect the fact that in nature, there are no straight lines, emphasising Lark’s close concordance with the world around them.

Tasting notes
Nose
Distinctive floral honey aromas leap out of the glass, followed by subtle fragrant tea, lemon zest, beeswax, sweet juniper berries and liquorice.
Taste
Creamy butterscotch is accompanied by a waxy mouthfeel – a rare treat in a gin. A wave of complex floral honeyed notes, with bright juniper, citrus rind and light peppery spice.
