Hayman’s is a classic distillery in the heart of London, producing great traditional gin using family recipes dating back to 1863. Old Tom Gin is named after Cat shaped wooden plaques on the streets of 18th century England, where you would put a coin in the cat’s mouth, and a bartender would dispense a shot of gin through the cat's paw. Old Tom Gin is characterised by the extra sweetness which was used to round out flavours in a time where distillation technology wasn’t as developed as what it is today.

Tasting notes
Nose
Unashamedly Juniper, with delicate hints of floral violets, citrus and spice. A very well rounded and balanced nose. Dig deeper, and you will find some earthy woody, almost tree root-like complexity.
Taste
Soft on the palate as the sugar rounds out the edges and gives a creamy texture. The trio of juniper, citrus & coriander seed spice is dominant.
