A delicious blend of Bourbons from High West distillery in the American West. This bottling is produced in support of the American Prairie Reserve, a charitable organisation that seeks to preserve and restore an area of Great Plain Prairie about the size of the Sydney Metropolis, 10% of post tax profits go to support this cause.
The whiskey itself contains spirit between 2 to 13 years old, bottled at 46% ABV and non-chill filtered. It’s blend of high Rye mash bills adds an interesting spice note to this great bourbon.

Operating the world’s only ski-in gastro-distillery, High West is located in the unlikely whiskey-producing state of Utah.
Despite being found far from the Bourbon heartland of Kentucky, High West has swiftly gained a reputation for producing and bottling some of the finest American whiskey around.
This bottling is an example of the distilleries quality – showcasing excellent balance between younger and older spirit, and supporting a worthy cause.
The American Prairie Reserve is found in Montana, to the north of Utah, and the largest of the contiguous states. The untamed wilderness of the region is reflected by this bottling’s powerful character. The label is adorned with an image of the pronghorn antelope, native to the area, and America’s fastest land mammal.

Tasting notes
Nose
At first, this Bourbon offers aromas of mixed citrus rind: lemon, orange and grapefruit, before becoming sweeter with notes of toffee, fresh oak, vanilla, apples and cornbread.
Taste
A vibrant, lush mouthfeel delivers flavours of mocha, more toffee, and sawdust. With time, some thick floral honey comes through, joined by baking spices, and toasted peanuts.
Finish
Medium in length with bright fruity flavours of cherries, apples and bananas contrasting beautifully against lingering notes of drying barrel char, toffee and vanilla.
