Joadja Distillery is quickly gaining a powerful reputation for true “Sherry Bomb” whiskies. Made by Elisa and Valero Jimenez in the Southern Highlands of NSW, unlike many Aussie distilleries, they source genuine Sherry barrels from their birthplace in Spain. Joadja Distillery is all about provenance, with pristine spring water and some of the barley coming from their very own property. Arguably, one of the most authentic Australian whiskies around.

Tasting notes
Nose
Supremely juicy with plum jam, brandied prunes and caramelised figs. Lighter notes of zesty orange oils and white pepper bring balance and complexity.
Taste
Full-bodied and slightly syrupy featuring sweet raisin bread, chopped dates, melted dark chocolate, cinnamon fudge and candied orange peel.
Finish
Once again, it’s all about the sherry here with liquid sultanas, plentiful oak and spice notes on this long, luscious and sweet finish.
