Jura is known for their tall stills and light and sweet spirit. That tall still is ‘seasoned’ each year with limited periods of heavy peat production to add depth and a hint of smoke to the whiskies produced during the rest of the year. This whisky, re-released to commemorate the distillery’s 200th anniversary, is matured in ex-Bourbon barrels and finished in vintage 1963 Oloroso sherry casks.
