Named after the traditional peoples of Northern Taiwan, Kavalan Distillery has become synonymous with producing high quality, great tasting whisky. Their Soloist range is a deep dive on the flavour influences that different casks have on the final whisky. The ex-Bourbon cask is aged in first-fill barrels, producing a layered and complex whisky with classic tropical fruit, vanilla, and toasted coconut flavours.

Tasting notes
Nose
Delicious aromas of fruit compote, ripe melon, Chrissie pavlova, banana lolly, developing notes of coconut macaroon and dark toffee.
Taste
An initial burst of tropical fruit notes, mango and juicy pineapple, orange blossom, followed by a creamy mouthfeel of vanilla and coconut.
Finish
Long and powerful finish with undulating notes of lingering sweet fruit, vanilla toasted oak and a slightly oily texture.
