This deliciously balanced whiskey from Kinahan’s Distillery in Dublin, Ireland, aptly called the Kasc Project, is the result of utilising flavours that can be extracted from different species of oak. The whiskey is aged in bespoke casks made with oak from Portugal, France, USA, Hungary, as well as chestnut wood. Each stave contributes subtly different compounds and wood sugars to produce glorious results.

Tasting notes
Nose
Sweet aromas of orchard fruits, apple and pears, caramel slice and notes of tropical fruit, followed by gentle toasted oak.
Taste
Deliciously sweet notes of grilled pineapple, dried mango and vanilla spice. Creamy, medium bodied with hints of honey biscuit.
Finish
A persistent finish with recurring notes of fruit cake, baking spices and citrus oils with lovely complex oakiness.
