This single malt is mainly matured in Sherry casks, with malt for this expression is sourced from Port Ellen Malting’s on Islay, at around 35 ppm. Tasting notes
Nose
A more pronounced nose, with sweet notes of pineapple and honey coming through first, balanced with ripened melon, and a candied banana towards the end. Marzipan and raw almonds, very nice pronounced nose indeed.
Taste
The palate gives us richer flavours like toffee and dry sherry with the sweetness coming through as butterscotch and cinnamon sugar.
Finish
We finish with a great mouthfeel, and a long finish highlighted with white pepper and cloves.
