As a close relative of plums, sloes create a delightful fruity designation of gin when macerated in sugar and spirit. Often sloe gin is diluted to a lower alcoholic strength, which some might argue is more akin to a liqueur than gin.

Tasting notes
Nose
Jammy strawberries are offset with citrus led juniper and pine cones from the forest floor. Undertones of nutmeg and cinnamon. This almost smells like a European Christmas!
Taste
A rich mix of black cherries and over-ripe plums combined with warming baking spice to give a mulled wine impression. Sweet, creamy and dense - drawing parallels to a fine Pedro Ximinez Sherry.
