The famous Nikka distillery was founded back in 1934, after founder Masataka Taketsuru journeyed to Scotland to discover the secrets of the best whisky makers. This highly drinkable blended malt whisky is a complex blend of malts from Ben Nevis, Miyagikyo and Yoichi Distilleries, and is the distillery’s first new offering in six years.

Tasting notes
Nose
Notes of sweet fruit - apple, blackcurrant, rich stewed pears. Subtle hints of mint and spice come through.
Taste
Strong pepper coming through at first, followed by malt. The fruit is present on the palate with oak and gentle spice to follow.
Finish
Peaty at the end with rich, dark chocolate, malted barley and peppercorns to finish, with hints of lingering, soft smoke.
