Redbreast is the darling child of the Irish whiskey world. The perfect embodiment of the Single Pot Still Classification - a uniquely Irish process where they use both malted and unmalted Barley in the mash. This expression is aged between 9-12 years and then finished for one year in Oloroso sherry butts from the Bodegas Lustau in Jerez. Absolutely lip-smacking!

Tasting notes

Nose

Caramel glazed apples from the Irish pot-still aspect are given an injection of sherry character in the form of marzipan, juicy sultanas, dark fruits and clove-studded orange peel.

Taste

A creamy, velvety mouthfeel with rich fruit cake, toasted marshmallows and poached plums follow through onto the palate. Rounded out with flecks of milk chocolate, honey and candied orange peel.

Finish

Freshly baked apple crumble envelops the air in your mouth. Sweet sherry and cinnamon spice notes slowly dry out on the tongue during the long finish.

Love this Irish

This is my second bottle of this Irish Whiskey and it is by far my favourite one. My biggest problem is not drinking it too quickly.
