Made on the pristine East Coast of Tasmania, Spring Bay Single Malt Whisky is the result of the meticulous quest for whisky perfection, and truly representative of a particular method, time and place. Distilled from Tasmanian barley, ‘The Rheban’ Cask Strength whisky is a marriage of ex-Tawny and ex-Porto casks, aged and matured in sea-mist laden air, creating a dram with complex and subtle fruity saltiness.

Tasting notes
Nose
Inviting sweet aromas of spiked fruit cake, browned butter and raspberry friand, also hints of vine fruit, red currants and toasted oak.
Taste
An initially creamy mouthfeel with caramelised wood sugars and crème brulée, before an explosion of spice, warm toasted oak and soft tannins.
Finish
A long and satisfying finish with recurring notes of dried fruit, sweet tobacco spice, and a lasting warm woody glow.
