A fascinating gin from a very unexpected location 50km north of Johannesburg in South Africa. The Cradle of Humankind is so named for its large network of limestone caves containing some of the earliest known fossils of human remains. Stoneflow takes inspiration from its unique surroundings, not only in name but also in the unique botanicals it uses. This wildly flavoursome gin employs native Bushwillow, which provides a ridiculously rich, nutty and earthy character.

Along with its unique location, this gin makes use of Bushwillow, a large tree native to South Africa, that is found along the nation's riverbanks.
The fruit and roots of Bushwillow are considered poisonous, but the bark has been mixed with herbs as a healing tea for generations. In a way then, this gin represents a modern, delicious and distilled take on a traditional South African beverage!

Tasting notes
Nose
Sharp lime peel comes first, but as you dig deeper it quickly becomes nutty and woody with a hint of green coffee beans. An utterly unique aroma that keeps you coming back for more.
Taste
Wow, what a flavour explosion! There’s the same moreish, earthy-nutty tones from the nose, but with complex layers of flavour on top. We’re talking marigold flowers, red apple, rosemary and liquorice root.
