The Canberra Distillery was founded by Tim Reardon in 2015. Not unexpectedly from a Canberran, Tim was formerly a political analyst. However, his true passion was in creating fine spirits. This obsession is clear, with over 15 high-quality and utterly unique products coming out of this tiny distillery. The Summer Gin is no different, being a very fresh and fruity take with native Strawberry Gum as the predominant flavour.

30 different botanicals are vapour-infused at low distilling temperatures to create this incredibly fruity and lush final product. Many of the botanicals have been locally sourced from Braidwood and Tarango.
As the name would suggest, this is the perfect Summer gin, the first to be made at the distillery's new Polish pot still, named Joy.
Joy has proven aptly named, with this gin certain to produce a lot of happiness in the warmer months!

Tasting notes
Nose
Bold fruity notes erupt from the glass. Candied, jammy strawberries come first from the strawberry gum. Tropical fruit salad follows, featuring passionfruit, mango, fresh peaches and a hint of grapefruit peel.
Taste
The fruity notes are evident but more restrained than the aroma would suggest. Juniper, fresh-cut flowers and a little zing of lemon myrtle pop-up, before finishing on fresh passionfruit.
