From a little known distillery in Japan by the name of Matsui. The distillery is located in southern Honshu in the coastal prefecture of Tottori. The whiskies are young, green and fresh which is very apt for the picturesque location. Given the only 3 year approximate age of this whisky, there is an amazing array of flavour and complexity.

Tasting notes
Nose
Dried cranberries, stewed strawberries and dark chocolate. The earthy cacao nib notes almost envelope your nose. A touch of freshness from lemongrass and sweet orange peels cuts through.
Taste
Fruity sherry notes quickly disappear into a roasted hazelnut and vanilla body. Some vibrant green grassy undertones.
Finish
A dry spicy finish of warming ginger and cloves with a hint of menthol freshness.
