Crafted at Mt. Uncle Distillery up in Cairns, this whisky is a testament to the distillery’s commitment to producing premium spirits and liqueurs. Emphasizing local Australian ingredients, the whisky is made using a traditional family recipe and Queensland barley. Aged for 7 years, it matures in ex-red wine reconditioned French Oak barriques with American oak heads.

Tasting notes
Nose
Sweet on the nose to start, with more time wood spice develops along with ripe fruits and a slight floral note.
Taste
The sweetness is tamed with more spice than the nose suggests, and the wood characteristics shine through with a punch of vanilla.
Finish
Deep and long, the red wine really shows through on the finish with red berry notes along with classic oak flavours.
