There were 3 whiskies in this box, and two turned out to be Tasmanian.
First was the Lark Christmas cask, and that's a fun dram. I'd recommend it as an introduction to the fun ways in which Tasmania distills whisky as it's aged in barrels used for the jus from fruit mince pies.
The second was Bushmills 21 year old Single Malt whisky, aged in a mixture of bourbon and Sherry casks before finishing in Madeira "drums", sweet, smooth, stunning.
The final one was Old Kempton Solera Cask, aged in a port wine tun using the maturation method where the tun is refilled with younger spirit as it is bottled. Lots of character, and very drinkable.
My favourites in order are the Bushmills, Old Kempton and then the Lark. They're all good, however the other two are just a cut above the Lark.
