This limited series whisky from the far North of Scotland, Wolfburn’s Batch No. 318 is a combination of lightly-peated spirit, matured for seven years in first-fill Oloroso Sherry butts, balanced with spirit matured for seven years in first-fill Bourbon barrels. Rebuilt in 2012, Wolfburn produces a range of high quality, small-batch releases, utilising some exquisite fortified wine cask maturation and finishing.

Tasting notes
Nose
Inviting aromas of ripe figs, fresh apricots and stewed plums, moving to hints of vanilla, cinnamon and savoury peat smoke.
Taste
Sweet grainy notes of barley and oatmeal and raisin cookie, with notes of toffee apple, honey ginger snap and interwoven delicate peat.
Finish
A medium-length finish with dried fruit and toffee lingering and evolving into spiced oak, nutmeg and a smattering of peat smoke.
