1800 Añejo Tequila is made by Casa Cuervo in the town of Tequila and is an excellent example of the full bodied lowland style. 1800 was the first year that ‘vino de mezcal’ was ‘rested’ in oak barrels. This Añejo is aged for 14 months in French oak, and some aged in American oak for 3 years, to create a blend which adds depth of flavour and pronounced oakiness to this deep and rich sipping tequila.

Deep and soft aromas of antique shop varnish, vanilla oak, slow cooked agave and sweet hints of dates and agave syrup
Taste
Soft oaky entry reveals layers of agave from sweet to dry, deep spicy oak, slightly oxidative notes of dried fruits rounding off.
