Aberlour Distillery is found in the picturesque Speyside town that shares its name. One of the more beautiful of the Victorian Era distilleries, Aberlour features an onsite burn (small stream) and waterfall.
The distillery’s spirit is known for its medium weight and distinctive fruitiness – very well suited to Sherry cask maturation, where it shines.
This bottling is an excellent example of Aberlour’s single malt, picking up plenty of complexity in its 12 years of ageing.

Tasting notes
Nose
A fresh and floral nose that serves up aromas of redcurrants, raspberries, orange blossom, some figs and a little cracked black pepper.
Taste
Soft and light, with subtle flavours of plums, dried apricots and marzipan. With time, the Sherry cinnamon and nutmeg spice emerges, contrasted beautifully with vanilla.
Finish
Medium length, with a stronger oak flavour than the palate. Lightly astringent, with a touch of barrel char and clove-studded-orange rind.
