An excellent dram that suffers from only flaw - It is just too damn drinkable!
I discovered Miltonduff through the One-of-a-kind tasting pack and knew immediately that I had to have a bottle. Now I wish I had bought two. Scratch that, a case! The lavish buttery unctuousness of the initial taste belies a robust finish that lingers... and lingers... and lingers. Superb neat but if you really want to savour the complexity, a drop of water (and I do mean a single, solitary drop of water) really opens it up.
A well-rounded whiskey that will satisfy the discerning aficionado without shocking the less experienced palate. Miltonduff 15 year old is going to be a mainstay of my whiskey collection... as long I can still get a hold of it. Cheers!
