Eagle Rare is one of the many bourbons under the Buffalo Trace umbrella and it certainly lives up to this esteemed lineage.
This is one of the very few bourbons on the market right now that has a lengthy age statement yet remains affordable for the majority of whisky drinkers. This one boasts a ten year age statement and it is this maturity that really helps it to stand out from other bourbon’s in its price range. In fact it punches well above its weight.
This is a bourbon with a unique personality. On the nose it is powerful yet vague, on the tongue it is both sweet and floral, and it finishes long without ever quite reaching a conclusion.
