A traditional pot still Irish Whisky, Glendalough uses a 1:2 mash bill of malted and unmalted Irish barley for this expression. The new make spirit is then aged for around 3 years in ex-Bourbon barrels before a 12 month finishing period in Virgin Irish Oak casks. These casks are made from sustainably felled 140 year old trees surrounding the Glendalough distillery.

Tasting notes
Nose
Clean and slightly sweet, with subtle aromas of biscuit, vanilla, and light oak, followed by a touch of grassiness and a wave of baking spices.
Taste
Sweeter than the nose would suggest, with a honeyed malt flavour, vanilla, toasted oak, and classic pot still spices.
Finish
Medium length, with lasting flavours of clove, subtle baking spices, toasted malt and vanilla-oak.
