A Speyside single malt from an iconic distillery: Glenfarclas. Family owned and independent, Glenfarclas is one of the most well-respected distilleries in the region. This bottling is an excellent example of the distillery’s speciality: 100% Oloroso sherry cask matured, and bursting with Christmas Cake character. A quarter century of maturation has resulted in a dram full of flavour.

Regarded as one of the last great bargains in single malt Scottish whisky, Glenfarclas 25 year old encapsulates what makes this distillery great: delicious drams, honestly made and fairly priced.
Glenfarclas remains a family owned, independent distillery with an excellent reputation. They never use artifical colouration in their whiskies, and careful cask management has meant they have been able to maintain well-matured bottlings such as this one.
Famed for their hallmark "Christmas Cake" character, this is close to the perfect Glenfarclas dram.

Tasting notes
Nose
An absolutely classic Sherried nose, with aromas of spun sugar, toasted walnuts, brown sugar, plums, prunes, cherries and quince jelly. Old, slightly musty, oak emerges later.
Taste
A precise, honeyed malt note opens the palate, accompanied by sultanas, prunes and currants, brown sugar, chocolate coated peanuts and oaky sweet wine.
Finish
As long as it gets, with bittersweet oak and the famed Glenfarclas Christmas Cake character lingering for aeons on the tastebuds
