A well aged whisky from this historic Speyside distillery. The whisky has been aged for 15 years in combination of former Sherry casks and ex-Bourbon barrels, resulting in a poised dram, packed with dried fruit and vanilla sweetness. Bottled at 46% ABV, and without chill-filtration, this juice is a deeper, fuller bodied rendition of Speyburn’s spirit.

Found in the popular whisky-town of Rothes, Scotland, Speyburn is a distillery dating back to the late 19th century.
Designed by the legendary Charles Doig (the architect behind no less than 56 different Scotch distilleries), the creation of Speyburn was rushed to ensure their first barrels featured the year 1897. This was apparently important, as it was the year of Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee – whisky marketing has been around a long time folks!
Fast-forward about 125 years, and Speyburn is one of the top ten best-selling
Scottish single malts in the world, known for its excellent value. This 15 year old is a higher quality expression, that offers a glimpse of the spirit in a more decadent form.

Tasting notes
Nose
Sugar maple and subtle coffee aromas are followed by notes of caramelised orange and lemon rind, dark chocolate, bright oak and white sultanas.
Taste
A lot of lovely thick caramel flavours here, with sugared malt, chocolate toffees and treacle tart prominent. Speyside flavours of green apples, vanilla and citrus come with time.
Finish
Long and creamy, with lingering flavours of cinder toffee, dusty oak and dried apricot. A complex and impressive whisky.
