The Spirit Thief Distilling Co. was born as an exploration between whisky and wine and for a few years now, they have been maturing malt whisky in ex-red wine barrels. As part of the Curated Wine Barrel Collection, this release of ex-Cabernet and ex-Shiraz wine cask matured whisky gets the best of each of these varietal characteristics, with dark berry fruit combining beautifully with rich spice and malt flavours.
