First up in our trip around the world, we head to a distilling industry heavyweight of a country - Japan. The beauty of Japanese spirits and culture is their unique local takes on iconic categories incorporating their cultures preference for elegance and balance. This gin from titans of the whisky industry, Suntory, is no different. Featuring 6 unique Japanese botanicals including yuzu peel, sansho pepper, sakura blossom and leaf, and two types of green tea - you can expect a harmonious symphony of delicate flavours.

Japanese whisky behemoth Suntory actually entered the gin market fairly early on in their existence, producing Hermes Gin, one of the earliest Japanese-made examples of the spirit, in 1936.
This bottling honours Suntory's gin legacy, whilst providing a modern twist. Roku translates as "Six" – a reference to the six Japanese ingredients found in every bottle, that provide balance and freshness to this harmonious gin.

Tasting notes
Nose
Fragrant citric notes leap out of the glass thanks to yuzu peel - think freshly peeled mandarin and juicy grapefruit. Layers of complexity with fresh roses sitting up top, grounded by a touch of woody pepper and juniper.
Taste
Becomes much more full-bodied on the palate, with numbing pepper and ginger warmth coming forward. The delicious yuzu notes persist, becoming sweeter, joined by perfumed Turkish Delight notes.
