An incredibly mature single malt from the Isle of Arran. According to the distillery, this dram has aged in “Sherry Puncheons sourced directly from Jerez from a respected small producer who shares our values”. Drumadoon Point is found on the island, and is a remarkable location of natural beauty, featuring sandy beaches, dramatic cliffs and even an Iron Age fort. A fitting selection for Arran’s ‘The Explorers Series’.
More Details
Arran are incredibly proud of their local roots, as this dram illustrates. Since its opening in 1995, the distillery has become an important part of the island’s landscape and economy, with a second distillery, Lagg, on the way.
The label on this bottle, and its presentation case, features an artistic representation of the Shiskine Golf Club, a 12-hole course at Drumadoon Point.
This luscious, expertly made cask strength dram is a superb tribute to the island’s whisky traditions, and outstanding natural beauty.

Tasting notes
Nose
Freshly baked apple pie is joined by aromas of rich malted barley, marmalade, sweet sultanas, polished oak, caramelised pecans and brazil nuts.
Taste
Full bodied and packed with Sherry character: dates, prunes and figs explode onto the palate, alongside dark chocolate, more spiced apple and deep, dark oak.
Finish
Very long, with lingering warming notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove-studded orange. Some slightly drying oak and wine tannins finish things off.
