A powerful rye whisky from radically sustainable distillers, Belgrove. This whisky has been aged in a single Sherry cask that previously held Tasmanian Single Malt Whisky matured under the watchful eye of cult indie bottler, Tim Duckett. After a medium-toast rechar, the barrel held 100% rye whisky for eight years.

Tasting notes
Nose
Inviting aromas of salted caramel, maple syrup over hot pancakes, buttered toast, Sherry cask spice and freshly baked cherry pie.
Taste
Rich and full bodied, with intense rye spices joined by flavours of apple compote over vanilla ice cream, black tea, forest floor and sweet tobacco smoke.
Finish
Long, with hot cinnamon and white pepper, and more of that tobacco smoke (said to be a result of Belgrove’s old fashioned direct fired stills).
