Founded in 1825 by James, Daniel, and Jeremiah Murphy on Old Distillery Walk, Midleton, County Cork, Ireland, the distillery is renowned as the home of seven iconic brands: Jameson, Redbreast, Powers, Midleton Very Rare, The Spot Whiskeys, Method and Madness, and Knappogue Castle. The flagship of the Midleton Distillery, Jameson Whiskey, leads in production and sales figures. The market of Midleton favors whiskey with characteristics of purity, smoothness, and fruitiness. Recognizing its excellence, the distillery was honored as the Best Distillery in the Travel2Ireland Awards 2023.
